Dr. Matthew Verheuvel

Dr. V. earned both his bachelor’s degree and veterinary degree from the University of Georgia. He graduated from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine in 2020. During his time in Veterinary School, he was an officer of the Internal Medicine club, helped to organize a veterinary symposium, and met his wife, Shelby, a fellow veterinarian.

He has lived around the Georgia / Tennessee area for most of his life , growing up in the greater Atlanta area. He has returned to Tennessee to live near family and enjoy all of what Chattanooga has to offer.

Dr. V. has a great interest in preventative medicine such as routine dentistry, parasite control, and senior pet care. His goal is for your pets to live long, happy, and healthy lives. Additionally at work, Dr. V. enjoys implementing his Fear Free certification to allow your pets to enjoy their veterinarian visits as much as possible.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. V. enjoys spending time with his family: his wife and a household full of rescued dogs and cats. In his spare time, he enjoys bicycling, being in nature, games of all varieties and reading.
