Riverview Animal Hospital is AAHA accredited. Unlike human hospitals, animal hospitals are not required to be accredited. In order to achieve accreditation, Riverview was evaluated by the AAHA on approximately 900 standards of veterinary excellence. AAHA-accredited hospitals are recognized among the finest in the industry, and are consistently at the forefront of advanced veterinary medicine. AAHA Standards of Accreditation are continuously reviewed and updated to keep accreditation practices on the cutting edge of veterinary excellence. Riverview was reviewed for standards addressing patient care and pain management, surgery, pharmacy, laboratory, exam facilities, medical records, cleanliness, emergency services, dental care, diagnostic imaging, anesthesiology, and continuing education. To maintain accredited status, hospitals undergo comprehensive on-site evaluations every three years.

I brought him her for an emergency visit and they squeezed us in. I was struggling at the time but the vet helped us with instructions on care. We didn’t know he had Parvo at the time. He got sicker and died before I could get him in. They cremated him and gave me a really nice card and gift set for him.My second cat’s first visit was for emergency boarding, last year, as there was a gas leak near our complex. The smell overwhelmed us completely. He didn’t have the greatest time since he is an extremely shy guy. He was boarded again this year as we faced another emergency. We found out that he doesn’t like other cats or men this time around. We got to meet and talk with the cat boarding staff. They were so sweet and compassionate about their care for the cats. Unfortunately, mines is just extremely shy so he was stressed but that wasn’t the staffs fault at all.The staff was kind and professional every time I visited.
