Dr. Liz Lovett
Liz was born and raised in Little Rock, AR. She set out for west Texas after high school, where she received her degree in Animal Science from Texas Tech University. After college, she relocated to Nashville. There she started her veterinary career as a full time assistant at a veterinary ophthalmology practice. She also worked part time at an after-hours emergency hospital. Five years later, she decided it was time to fulfill her life-long dream of becoming a veterinarian and was accepted at The University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. She graduated in 2007 and joined the Riverview Animal Hospital team here in Chattanooga. Liz’s professional interests include ophthalmology and soft tissue surgery. However, seeing patients and clients are the best part of her day. Starting in 2014, she will be serving on the Veterinary Peer Review Board for Hamilton County. When she is not at work, Liz enjoys hiking, especially the South Cumberland Recreation Area trails. She also enjoys traveling to new places, even if it is just around the bend.
